Welcome to Guitar Lick Lab. By accessing or using this website and its services ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. The Service is owned and operated by Music With Marky (a subsidiary of TiarraCorp, located at 7 Divan Way, Wayne, NJ 07470) and GDGA, as joint owners ("we," "us," or "our").
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
2. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account with a valid email address, a password, and a valid access code. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. Access Codes
Certain content on the Service may require an access code. Access codes are provided at the discretion of the Service operators and may be revoked, deactivated, or changed at any time. Sharing, reselling, or publicly distributing access codes without authorization is prohibited.
4. Intellectual Property
All content provided through the Service — including but not limited to exercise packs, tablature, notation, audio recordings, video content, instructional materials, software code, and visual design — is the property of Music With Marky / TiarraCorp and GDGA or its content contributors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, download, store, or transmit any content from the Service without prior written consent, except as follows:
- You may use the exercises and materials for your own personal, non-commercial practice and learning.
- You may not record, redistribute, or re-publish any exercises, tab files, notation, or instructional content from the Service.
- You may not use content from the Service to create competing products or services.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or computer systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service.
- Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple people to use a single account.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the Service.
- Upload malicious files or content of any kind.
6. Teacher Accounts
Users granted teacher or administrator privileges are responsible for the content they create and publish on the Service. Teachers retain creative ownership of exercises and materials they author, but grant Music With Marky / TiarraCorp and GDGA a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content through the Service. Teacher privileges may be revoked at any time at the discretion of the Service administrators.
7. Communications
By creating an account, you consent to receive occasional email communications from us regarding major updates, new features, announcements, and products or services offered by Music With Marky or GDGA. You may opt out of these communications at any time by contacting us via our Contact Form.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your sole risk.
The exercises and instructional materials provided are for educational purposes only. We are not responsible for any physical injury that may result from practicing guitar or performing any exercises found on the Service. Always practice with proper technique and take breaks to avoid repetitive strain injuries.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Music With Marky / TiarraCorp and GDGA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
10. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause or notice, including but not limited to violation of these Terms. You may also request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Passaic County, New Jersey.
