Lefty mode on every fretboard tool.

Most online guitar tools assume you play right-handed. Every Guitar Lick Lab fretboard tool includes a one-tap mirror mode — nut on the right, frets ascending to the left — so left-handed players see the neck the way they actually see it. No more mental flipping.

Live on every fretboard-based tool — seven tools as of v2.8
01 / Guitar Learning Tools

Practice, theory, fretboard, and soloing.

Use these tools to build speed, understand chords and scales, map ideas on the fretboard, and connect theory to real guitar playing.

Frequently Asked

A few quick answers.

Are the Guitar Lick Lab tools really free?
Yes. Every tool on this page is completely free to use. No account, no signup, no paywall. The REAPER plugins are also free downloads.
Do I need an account or to sign up to use the tools?
No. Every tool works directly in your browser with no signup or account required. Just open the tool and start using it.
Will these tools work on my phone?
Yes. All Guitar Lick Lab tools are designed to work on mobile and desktop browsers. The fretboard tools scroll horizontally on small screens so you can see the whole neck.
Which tool should I start with as a beginner?
Start with the Fretboard Note Finder to learn where notes live on the neck, then move to the Chords in Key Finder to understand how chords relate to keys. After that the Scale Over Chord Finder will help you start soloing.
Will more tools be added?
Yes. New tools are added regularly. The Drone & Backing Track Player just launched. The focus is now shifting to deepening the existing tools rather than racing to add new ones — chord progression sequencing for the Drone Player is planned next, and new tools will be added on genuine need or student request.
